What does it cost to play for the Dynasty Organization, and what is included in the season membership?
Our membership for the 2026-2027 season will have 2 options. A “Pre-Paid” Practice Membership and a “Pay Per Practice” Membership. We try to keep our dues structure straightforward and flexible depending on each player’s personal situation. Our goal is to provide high-level volleyball to everyone, and to not allow finances to stop that opportunity.
1. What’s Included in Your Membership
Every rostered athlete across all our teams receives a comprehensive package of organizational benefits:
Volleyball League of America Team Membership: Dynasty Volleyball Organization covers all upfront team membership fees to the Volleyball League of America. Each team within the league must pay a membership fee to the league based on their tier (ex., Tier 2: $3,000 per season, per team)
Sponsorship Eligibility: Access to financial support (tournament entry fees, travel stipend, lodging stipend, etc) and uniform/gear cost support from organization partners and sponsors (varies by team tier).
Roster Mobility: Transfer eligibility to move up tiers across our teams during designated VLA roster transfer windows. The VLA has a transfer fee ($50) that will be absorbed by the Dynasty Organization if you are transferred to a higher-tiered team.
Facility & Practice Access: Access to structured team practice sessions and training reps. The organization will also support select mid-week practice opportunities in the week leading up to Tournament Weekends. More info found under “Practice Opportunity”.
Media & Exposure: The organization provides individual player spotlight photos/headshots and team media coverage by Mitch Sterkenburg (@mitchsterk) and Kevin Schmidt (@schmidtyphotos) throughout the season.
League & Tournament Support: Administrative backing for VLA-sanctioned events, USAV/CHRVA regional tournaments, and high-level adult open cash events.
2. Membership Tiers & Pricing
Pre-Paid Practice Membership ($275/season): Includes full seasonal membership benefits plus at least 10 guaranteed practice/training sessions built directly into your dues. (Difference: $75 pre-paid vs $150+ pay-per practice)
Pay-Per Practice Membership ($200/season): Created with commuting players in mind (or players who want flexibility in practice attendance). Lower upfront seasonal dues, with practices paid on a pay-as-you-go basis ($15 per practice attended).
3. Payment Dates:
Your membership fee will be divided into 3 separate non-refundable payments. Payment Dates are TBD (dates will be announced before tryouts).
Are practices mandatory, and how does practice work for out-of-town players?
While practice attendance is strongly encouraged to build team chemistry and understand the organization’s offensive and defensive systems, we recognize that our players balance full-time careers, families, and busy schedules.
How Our Practices Work
Schedule & Cadence: Teams will typically practice on Sundays from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM, based on our season’s tournament schedule. Midweek practices (typically 8:30 PM – 10:30 PM) are added in the lead-up to major tournament weekends, based on attendance numbers.
Locations: VSA Sterling or VSA Ashburn.
Attendance Policy: Practices are not strictly mandatory; however, regular attendance is strongly encouraged, as court time directly impacts court chemistry, systems, and individual player development.
Pre-Paid vs. Pay-Per-Practice Flexibility:
Pre-Paid Practice Athletes ($275 Membership): All pre-scheduled weekend and midweek practices are fully covered in your seasonal package (at least 10 sessions)
Out-of-Area / Pay-Per-Practice Athletes ($200 Membership): If you plan to attend a practice, you will pay $15 per session. Players will mark their availability on their team spreadsheet and submit the $15 practice fee to the organization prior to attending the practice session.
Communication Requirement: Proactive communication is required from all athletes in the Dynasty Organization. If you need to miss a practice due to work, travel, or personal obligations, you must notify your team captain and Dynasty Administration in writing (via text or WhatsApp) as far in advance as possible.

What is the expected commitment level once I make a team within the Dynasty Organization?
We understand that our athletes balance full-time careers, families, school, and major life events like weddings, births, and work trips. To accommodate this, we intentionally build deep rosters so every team remains competitive even when players are unavailable.
How We Handle Scheduling & Availability
Upfront Transparency: When you accept your offer to join the organization, you’ll submit any known conflict dates for the upcoming season.
No Penalty for Pre-Planned Events: No athlete will lose their roster spot or be penalized for previously scheduled commitments. We use your upfront availability to balance roster depth so every squad has a full lineup for tournament days.
Ongoing Life Updates: If a major conflict or life event arises mid-season that impacts your availability, simply notify Dynasty Administration as far in advance as possible so we can adjust tournament rosters accordingly.
Accountability: While we offer flexibility, we expect players to honor their committed tournament dates and maintain proactive communication with their captain and administration. We ask that athletes plan to compete in at least one tournament/event every other month.
